My personal favorite is their Moo & Blue pie, a delectable combination of beef and blue cheese that sings with flavor in every bite. Pair it with a side of creamy mash and rich gravy, and you have a dish that warms the soul. The atmosphere is equally inviting, creating a cozy space that encourages good conversation and laughter over hearty meals.

As an American tourist, I absolutely loved this place! The staff was friendly and it was woodsy and rustic. I got a pint of beer and started ordering whatever sounded the most British, lol. I loved the beef pie, with a side of peas and mash. How British is that?! It was so fun for me to go to a place like this.

I had a great steak, bacon and red wine pie here. Doesn't look that impressive from the outside but the food is spectacular and reasonably priced. Only wish I had some extra bread on the side to soak up the awesome red wine gravy. Ollie is a server there and super friendly. I would definitely go back to this restaurant the next time I am in Leeds. And did I mention the 2-for-1 cocktails before 7 pm and after 9 pm? This place is great!!

I'd never heard of this place until recently, my lass informed me of a groupon voucher purchase for £16 for two pie meals and a drink each.. In reality it didn't save us much because the food is reasonably priced as it is for Leeds and it tastes amazing too. I'll definitely be going back because I enjoyed every part of it, from the food to the service. Being able to buy the pies to take home at 3 for £10 was a bonus too.

Had friends visiting for the weekend and like always the catch up and chat got the best of us. Realising the time we realised we had best get ourselves into town before all of the restaurants closed. So we ended up at Pieminister, which ended up being a stroke of good luck as after it was 9.30 cocktails were 2-4-1, even on a Friday night. We had a quick look at the menu and settled on the venison chilli con carne pie, the mushroom pie and the chicken hot pot with some sides of fries, coleslaw and minty mushy peas all served with lashings of gravy. Everything tasted great - with perhaps the exception of the gravy, which for me was a little watery and tasteless. We also had the Negroni and Gin Mojito cocktails which were both very good indeed. If I'm in the mood for good hearty fair again then i'll be heading straight back to pieminister

One of those occasions when dinner plans A & B didn't work out, but C ended up being much better than expected. I'd not eaten at Pieminister before (despite there also being one in Manchester) so it was fortuitous that my two Leeds-based colleagues hadn't been either; we were able to be seated immediately which our hunger-pangs needed to hear. They may be a (small) chain but they sell quality pies and craft ale and when I saw mash and gravy options on the menu I was beaming from ear to ear. For £5 each there are a dozen or so beef, chicken, venison and vegetarian options and your choice of gravy/sauce is included. Sides, such as mash, mushy peas or fries are an extra £2.20 or you can have larger portions of the sides for £3.20. Their pies are really stuffed full with filling and the pastry is tasty, so with the creamy mash and rich gravy it made for a hearty meal, just perfect for this time of year. The service was warm and friendly throughout. Washed down with a bottle of locally-brewed ale and a dessert of, what else but, lemon meringue pie (yes, I double-pied), we all rolled out of there fully satisfied.
